With warmer weather quickly replacing the cold blast of February, it’s time to plan for the best part of Spring – beautiful, colorful flowers! With a little care and consideration, your property will soon be bursting with spring color, texture and head-turning curb appeal. It’s our favorite time of year, and the Terry’s Landscape Team is already working hard to help clients bring their landscape visions into reality.
Will our perennials come back?
Normally, with the right mixture of sun, water and nutrients, your existing perennials will come back for another year of beauty and enjoyment. However, with the extreme weather we experienced in February, many perennials, shrubs and even vulnerable trees may have been severely damaged or killed. We’ll have to wait and see which perennial plants survive. In any case, make sure they get the right amount of cutback and help them get the proper moisture levels by having your irrigation system tuned up and fresh mulch applied.
New color installations
Annuals provide a fresh splash of spring color each year and can be designed to suit your changing tastes or moods each season. Our talented designers can help you select, design and plan the installation of just the right mix of color, style, size and more. Our Texas climate can be hard on flowers, so make sure and trust certified experts to select the right plant material for your specific area and conditions.
Is this the opportunity for that landscape makeover you’ve been waiting for?
Many of us will be replacing large amounts of plant material, some trees and even turf due to the recent freeze event. Should you just replace what you had, or is this a unique opportunity to upgrade or makeover your existing landscape design? Starting from scratch is often a daunting prospect, but with the need for widespread replacements already on the table, maybe this is the time to talk to one of our design experts about how to make your property more sustainable, resilient, functional and beautiful!
